4: I wasn't a wallflower

February 26, 2011 marks one of the best nights of my life. Last night was our JS Promenade, and I can say that it was a big success! I honestly expected less, and I'm thankful that I did... because last night rocked me to the core. The prom theme was the Oscars, and I was nominated for two awards: the Sleepyhead Award and Miss Metamorphosis. I didn't grab any title, but it felt good to have my name called (especially in Miss Metamorphosis).

Our class dances were a success (and The Main Event sort of got stuck on my head), even though I committed a few errors (sorry saloma). The other sections did well also, and I especially like the dance of III-Platinum, aside from our own, that is. The food was tasty too, even though I had no idea on how to eat that piece of pork watchamacallit.

The class dances and the awarding were memorable, and so were the speeches. I particularly loved the speech of Ate Feona, primarily because my name was mentioned seven times or so. I keed, I loved the speech of Kuya Yves -- so creative, imaginative, and well-constructed.

I loved all those aforementioned parts of the event, but the most memorable part, for me, was the three-and-a-half-hour socials. Almost everyone danced the night away, and I was happy to see everyone's smiling faces. I danced like crazy too, especially in some songs like Party in the U.S.A., Peacock, and songs from the Black-Eyed Peas. My feet hurt a lot while dancing, because I wasn't used to wearing high heels and because of the people who occasionally step on my feet. But that didn't stop me from being the party animal that I am. There was a lot of picture-taking too, and I guess I had fairly enough pictures taken to reminisce everything that happened last night.

Okay, fine, I failed to mention the slow-dancing part as the most memorable part of the night--well, for me, that is. I danced with eight awesome guys and two fabulous gays (lmao), and of those eight guys, two were really special. One was my best friend, and the other was my... uhm...? you get the point. Another two were also special: my crush and my first love (who was just forced to dance with me, i think). I forgot the other songs that were played when I danced with these guys, but here are the ones that I remember: Breakaway, Iris, Especially for You ( <3 ), Six Candles, All Out of Love, It's Gonna Be Love, and Like a Rose. And Obviously, Especially for You became my favorite. :)))

Sooo, yeah. I loved last night, and I hope that I could experience another night like that in the near future :)
