...but then you came and ruined everything for me.
So here's a poem I wrote especially for you,
I guess it could be one way of saying adieu.
Fate's Game
I hoped and dreamed that for just one time,
I would see your hand right next to mine.
Laughing at such an impossible ambition,
I turned around, clueless that it was the worst decision.
I had been told that we'd be together
But I walked away, knowing it won't be forever.
Instead, I stayed with someone who cared,
I kept you waiting in search of thin air.
Of what was happening, I had been ignorant.
You knew perfectly well, but you were reluctant.
We ran into each other, I thought it was fate,
But to my dismay, I was a minute too late.
Time had passed, and uneasy I grew.
My heart thumped furiously, it was longing for you.
But the total opposite was how your heart felt
When I stumbled in your sight, when both our eyes met.
Tears flowed endlessly when I found out
That I was mistaken to even dare to doubt.
Fate pulled a prank on me, or it wasn't meant to be.
Away from you, isn't that where I ought to be?
All I received were your selfish words
When I delivered the message that had to be heard.
All I'm asking is for you to tell me
That I should let go, and that'll end this agony.
*bow*
2/22/11; VACANT
And there you have it, the story of the day
When I was saddened so much, when everything turned gray.
of the fourteen ways you've made my heart crumble,
this fourteenth one made you even less humble.
